Yidly is the family entertainment brand of Mint Media LLC, 410 Monmouth Ave, Suite 403, Lakewood, NJ 08701 ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect on yidly.co, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email info@yidly.co.

What we collect

• Yidly News & New Releases: your email address and, if you share it, your first name.
• Gershy's Birthday Club: the parent or guardian's name and email, and each child's first name and birthday (month and day only, never the year).
• Be a Guest Star drawing: the parent or guardian's name and email, plus the child's first name, whether they're a boy or girl, their age, and an optional note. We do not ask for photos to enter. If your child wins, we will ask you to send photos and sign a release at that point.
• Contact form: your name, email and your message.
• Technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic information such as your IP address and browser type to keep the site running and secure. We do not use advertising trackers.

Yidly videos are sold and streamed by Mostly Music. When you buy or watch a video there, Mostly Music's own privacy policy applies, and we do not receive your payment details.

Children's privacy

Yidly makes entertainment for kids, but this website and its forms are for parents, guardians and other grown-ups (18+), not for children to use. Information about a child (first name, birthday or age) is only provided by their parent or legal guardian, who must confirm that they are 18 or older and the child's parent or guardian before submitting. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If we learn that a child sent us information themselves, we delete it. If you believe this has happened, email info@yidly.co.

A parent or guardian can ask at any time to see, correct or delete their child's information, or to stop us from using it, by emailing info@yidly.co.

How we use your information

• To send the emails you signed up for, including birthday messages on your child's birthday and, unless you opted out, Yidly and Gadget Guy news and new releases.
• To run the Guest Star drawings (see the official rules), pick winners at random, and contact the winners' families. Entering the drawing does not sign you up for any emails.
• To reply to your messages.
• AI cameos: The Gadget Guy is created with AI. Only if your child wins a drawing, and only after you sign a release, do we use the photos you send to create an AI-generated likeness of your child for an episode.

We never sell your information or share it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only with the service providers that run the site for us, under their own privacy and security terms: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (our database), Resend (sending emails), and Mailchimp (our newsletter). We may also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Mailing list and news: until you unsubscribe.
• Birthday Club: until you unsubscribe. When you do, we delete your children's names and birthdays.
• Guest Star entries: an entry stays in the drawings for 12 months and is then deleted automatically. For winners, we keep what is needed to produce and promote the episode, as described in the release.
• Contact messages: as long as needed to help you.

Your choices

• Every email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops all Yidly emails and deletes your children's birthdays.
• To see, correct, or delete the information we have about you or your child, email info@yidly.co.

Do Not Track and cookies

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't track you across other websites, so our site works the same whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal. Videos load from YouTube or Vimeo only when you press play, and those services' own policies then apply. The admin login uses one cookie that only our staff receive.

Keeping it safe

Your information is stored in a private database that only our website's server and a small number of staff can access. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use children's information, we will email the parents in our Birthday Club before it takes effect.
